Press Release November 2014
Thanksgiving Celebration
“We want to ensure that all people who are homeless, hungry, lonely or struggling with poverty can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal basket with all the trimmings. Along with acceptance, compassion and encouragement from others who truly care about them.”
—President Eliecer Vallejo
West Palm Beach, FL -- H.A.C.E.R. Ministry Corp., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, will once again be presenting “A Thanksgiving Celebration”! This year H.A.C.E.R., Ministry in partnership with the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of West Palm Beach, the Communities West Seventh Day Adventist Church and the West Palm Beach Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church invite all who are able to attend this year’s Thanksgiving Day meal event to sign up to receive a meal basket.
H.A.C.E.R., plans to distribute 450 meal baskets to neighbors in need throughout our Palm Beach community. If you know of a senior citizen, lonely shut-in or struggling family who would benefit from receiving a Thanksgiving meal basket, please call H.A.C.E.R., at (561) 502-1752 or (561) 692-3772, by November 18th to sign up.
The Thanksgiving meal distribution location will be hosted at the West Palm Beach Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2727 Georgia Avenue in West Palm Beach on Wednesday, November 26th. The celebration will begin with a Thanksgiving Worship Service at 7 p.m., immediately preceded by the Thanksgiving meal basket distribution on-site. Community guests will be joined by a group of church and local volunteers (dedicated men and women) as well as H.A.C.E.R., staff and board members.
“We all look forward to this opportunity to come together as a family,” said President Eliecer Vallejo. “At our Thanksgiving tables, people who are homeless, hungry, lonely or struggling with poverty enjoy much more than a traditional Thanksgiving meal basket with all the trimmings. They also receive acceptance, compassion and encouragement from others who truly care about them.”
H.A.C.E.R. Ministry has founded and hosted this event to the community for the past 7 years. Due to these prior events, H.A.C.E.R. Ministry and its benevolent co-sponsors have provided over 2,000 deserving families with a delicious and nutritious Thanksgiving meal, without which these families and children may have gone hungry.
This event will provide a Thanksgiving basket containing a $10 Publix gift card for a turkey, stuffing, potatoes and other trimmings for 450 low income families in the community.
H.A.C.E.R. Ministry provides a wide variety of social services per annum such as, a Food Pantry, a rental housing program for low income families, a Back-to-School program providing backpacks filled with school supplies to deserving children, free health services and much more.
